General Information About Our Training Courses

1. Who delivers the training?

At SocialB we have a team of dedicated trainers who deliver our open courses. Our trainers have extensive professional backgrounds in digital marketing and they bring that wealth of experience to our training courses. To find out more about Simon, Amy, and Ed, click here.

2. What is an open course?

An open course is a training course that is open for anyone to attend. There are no requirements to go on these courses, put simply anyone can attend.

3. Do you deliver your courses in house?

Yes. We have the option to deliver any of our existing training programmes as an in-house course. When we deliver a course in house, we then also have the flexibility to tailor the course content to make it more relevant to your specific needs. To find out more about our in-house training options, please contact the training team on 01223 258000 or email info@socialb.co.uk.

4. Do you do bespoke training, or can you create something from scratch?

Yes. If you can’t find the course you are looking for on our website, please contact the team to see how we can help.

We have developed and delivered bespoke training programmes for global businesses from large-scale Content Marketing and various eCommerce training programmes to bespoke Digital Marketing courses.

If it’s something to do with digital, you’ve come to the right place. To find out more, please contact the training team on 01223 258000 or email info@socialb.co.uk.

5. Are you delivering training in person?

At the moment, we are planning some face-to-face training dates for later this year (Autumn 2021) and these will be announced very soon. If you are looking for a face-to-face training course (whether it’s an open course, in house, or bespoke training) please contact the training team on 01223 258000 or email info@socialb.co.uk.

6. Will I get a certificate?

Yes. All training attendees receive a certificate which states the name of your training course, the date of the course, and the CPD hours you have accrued.

7. Are your courses accredited?

Our courses are not accredited, however SocialB are highly regarded within the training industry, partnering with prestigious organisations like Guardian Masterclasses, the Department for International Trade and many more. We are also a Google Partner Agency, Bing accredited, Hootsuite certified, and have been recommended by the Drum & IDM – therefore we have many credentials to validate our expertise in digital marketing!

How Our Training Courses Work FAQs

1. Are your courses interactive?

Our training is very interactive and includes a variety of tasks, discussions, and activities throughout the course. We want you to make the most of the opportunity to engage with the trainer and ask questions as well as participating with fellow attendees. Our trainers encourage an interactive approach in a friendly, open, and collaborative environment. We keep our courses to a small group size to facilitate interaction and allow everyone the chance to participate.

2. Can I ask questions during the course?

Yes. Our trainers are happy for you to ask questions throughout the course. The structure of our courses is generally that within each section, the trainer will present and introduce the concepts you will be investigating, and then through tasks and discussions, those concepts are explored in more depth and brought to life.

3. Will there be activities or tasks or any worksheets?

In the training there will be tasks, activities, and discussions. Some of these are to be completed during the course, and others are tasks we recommend that you complete in your own time to build on what you’ve learned and put it into practice.

We don’t provide worksheets; however, you will get a copy of the slides which has all of the course materials and activities from the course.

4. Are the sessions live?

Our open courses are delivered live on Zoom.

5. Do you have to attend the sessions live?

We would highly recommend that you attend the training sessions live, for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, you will get so much more out of the course by attending live and being able to ask the trainer your questions and get involved in the discussions and activities.

Secondly, we keep our courses to a small group size to enable and encourage interactive training. If people are unable to attend live, and we then don’t have enough people on the course, we may have to move change the date of the course which is inconvenient to other attendees booked.

6. What platform do you deliver your training on?

Zoom. This seems to be everyone’s preferred platform and has great functionality with break out rooms and interactive software for delivering training.

7. Is online training recorded?

Yes, we record all of the sessions and share an edited version of the recording with you after the course.

8. Is there anything I need to do before the course?

Before a training course starts, we ask our delegates to complete a Pre-Course Questionnaire. This is a great way for our trainers to get to know you and your specific challenges before the course. You can see an example here.

9. How many people will there be on the course?

Typically, there would be anywhere between 2-6 people on an open course.

Training Help and Support Questions

1. Will I get a copy of the training materials?

After the course we will send you a PDF copy of the training slides (this includes all of the training presentations delivered by the trainer with all of the tasks and activities). You will also receive edited versions of the training recordings – these are an incredible asset for you to refer back to after the training and help you start implementing improvements.

2. If I have a question or need help after the course, is there any support?

We know that the learning doesn’t stop once the course is over, and we want to make sure our courses are actionable and that you take what you’ve learnt and put it to good use.

For that reason, once the course is complete, we offer a 3-month follow up support period where you are welcome to contact our training team or your trainer with any questions via email. Whatever the question, big or small, we’re happy to help.

If you are really stuck with something and you need our help on a more hands on basis, then we would recommend booking in a consultancy session where we can help you with your challenges and get you back on track.

3. Is the trainer available in between training sessions to answer questions?

Absolutely, yes.

To make sure everything runs smoothly, all communication is handled by our training team who coordinate our courses. They will be in touch with you to manage and coordinate the training, so if you have a question just let them know, and they’ll get you in touch with the trainer.

Training Course Queries or Concerns

1. What if I start the course and I realise it’s not the right one for me?

We have a Money Back Guarantee so if you find yourself in this situation, please don’t worry. We know that sometimes you might find the course isn’t what you were looking for, or early on you realise your needs are different to what you thought… it happens! Our Money Back Guarantee means that if you are in this position, you just need to contact our training team within 24 hours of the first training session, and you’ll get a full refund.

2. I’ve looked at all of your courses and they look great, but I’m not sure any of them really fit what I am looking for. Can you still help?

This is where we would recommend discussing a bespoke training option. Sometimes there isn’t an existing solution out there that really fits your needs, and we get that. If you’d like to talk about bespoke training options, please contact the training team on 01223 258000 or email info@socialb.co.uk.

The process with bespoke training is typically a discovery call with one of our training team to uncover your specific needs and challenges, and the outcomes you are aiming for. After the initial call, we would put forward our recommendation of what we feel will work best to meet your objectives. Our team have experience in learning design and use principles like Blooms Taxonomy to create training programmes from scratch, customised to your requirements.

3. I’m keen to do some training but would like some help over the next 3-6 months and after the course. Is that something you do?

We offer One-to-One Digital Consultancy sessions – these are a bit like coaching or mentoring sessions – where we can support and guide you in exclusive an one-to-one session that is completely focused on your needs. There may be an element from the training that you need a bit more help with, or you may have learnt lots but aren’t sure how to put that into an action plan, and that’s where we can help.

This can be a great addition to any training course so that you get that extended one-to-one support after the course.

You can find out more about our One-to-One Digital Consultancy on our website here.
